Care requirements

For kittens, especially a Maine Coon, the basic care requirements are: * Food: High-quality kitten food formulated for growth, with fresh water available at all times. Young kittens generally need several small meals a day. * Veterinary care: Regular vet checkups, vaccinations, deworming, parasite prevention, and age-appropriate spaying/neutering. * Litter box: Keep a clean, easily accessible litter box. For multiple cats, having more than one box is helpful. * Grooming: Maine Coon kittens have long coats, so gentle brushing several times a week helps prevent mats and gets them accustomed to grooming. * Exercise & play: Provide interactive toys, scratching posts, climbing areas, and daily playtime. * Safe environment: Keep them indoors or in a secure enclosure, and keep dangerous plants, chemicals, small objects, electrical cords, and open windows out of reach. * Socialization: Give them plenty of gentle handling and positive interaction with people. If they’re going to live with other pets, introductions should be gradual. * Love and attention: Kittens need patience, companionship, and a consistent routine while they grow.
